Assignment: Students are to read one of the recommended books from the attached fifth grade reading list. After they are finished reading, he/she will write a book report. The report will be graded using the following rubric. This will count towards a reading and writing grade.
Due: The first day of school. August 15, 2011

- Pick a book from the recommended reading list.
- Indent the first line of each paragraph.
- Write your own book report. Parents may assist, but we will know if the report is written in your words because we have samples of your writing.
- The book report is worth 1 Reading and 1 Language (writing) grade.
