SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENT AND REPORT

Assignment: Students are to read one of the recommended books from the attached fifth grade reading list. After they are finished reading, he/she will write a book report. The report will be graded using the following rubric. This will count towards a reading and writing grade.
Due: The first day of school. August 15, 2011

  1. Pick a book from the recommended reading list.
  2. Indent the first line of each paragraph.
  3. Write your own book report. Parents may assist, but we will know if the report is written in your words because we have samples of your writing.
  4. The book report is worth 1 Reading and 1 Language (writing) grade.
