SUMMER READING ASSIGNMENT AND REPORT

Assignment: Students are to read Fitzhugh, Louise  Harriet the Spy.  After they are finished reading, he/she will write a book report. The report will be graded using the following rubric. This will count towards a reading and writing grade.
Due: The first day of school— August 16, 2012.
Late reports will still be accepted but 10 points will be deducted from each day the report is late.

Remember:
  1. Indent the first line of each paragraph.
  2. Use your own words! Parents may assist, but please do not do the work for your child.
  3. The book report is worth 1 Reading and 1 Language (writing) grade.
  4. We will discuss the book, watch the movie, and do an in class written assignment comparing the book to the movie.
